Baby Jax

So last spring Violet started music class. She absolutely love the music, and I loved meeting new mommies...especially when they have adorable kids. We became friends with Willa and her mommy, and watched mommy's belly steadily grow until we said goodbye in May. Then, YAY, the email finally popped up in the inbox a few weeks ago saying that baby Jackson had finally arrived! With a mom having a 6 year old and 2 year old at home already, we really had to work to find a time to get together, but finally made it work last Friday! What a little snuggle bug that baby is...and boy does he love to be snuggled. He clearly was happiest in someone's arms, and I was happy to help out with that request. I may have caught a little baby fever. Luckily we were able to get him to sleep a bit on the soft blankies. I was happy brother and sister were there for me to snap some shots of whenever littlest brother decided he needed mommy for a minute. And thankfully daddy came along to bring on the smiles!

Baby Jax, just chillin' and checking things out. Hi cutie!

Aww...baby-snugglebug.

Hooray! I finally get to use one of the adorable hats my cousin made for me!

How lucky is baby Jax to have this guy for a big brother?!

Not only is he super handsome,

he's hilarious too!

Story behind the photo:
the girls were trying on all the headbands and hairbows I had brought along for them to model. Big brother decided he wanted in on the action too, but he was going to make it "manly", karate style. Sorry, buddy, it still looks stinkin' cute.

Speaking of stinkin' cute, how about miss Willa here??! Adorable, and what a good sister! I love how she holds the baby doll correctly!

With those eyes and that hair...good thing she has two brothers because Dad will have his work cut out for him in about 15 years!

As for dad, thank you for these smiles, don't worry Jax, you'll be laughing right along with them someday. You don't know how lucky you are to have such an awesome family little guy!

PS, thank you Winnie for letting us invade your house for a while!

Hunter

How fun are impromptu sessions! A friend is visiting from out of town with her adorable little one. On a whim we got together yesterday to snap some pics before they headed out to their next visit. This little guy is only a few weeks older than Violet, but what a world of difference between boys and girls! I got a workout trying to keep up with him! No wonder his mama looks so fabulous! Even though it was his naptime, he was happy as a clam roaming around the park with reckless abandon!

To slide or not to slide....SLIDE!!

OMG, this adorable squishy face is so cute!

And these eyelashes...ADORABLE!

Let's try the tire swing...it will keep him contained.

Um, excuse me people, you may not have noticed, but I really hate this!!!

Sand play is much more fun.

Maybe we should stick to leaf collecting.

And off he goes...

hmmm...I wonder if I could be all the way across this field before they could catch me?

See Hunter, hanging with mom and dad is not so bad.

My Country Girl

I had such high hopes for the most adorable photo shoot with Violet on our trip to gramma's house 2 weeks ago. The best laid plans don't always go the way you hope. The outfit was adorable, the boots were vintage, the baby wanted nothing to do with the country. I guess I thought that my love of the area would have been passed to her in the womb. No true. Anytime the camera came out, she was screaming because it meant mommy would not be holding her. I guess I should be flattered knowing that someday she won't even look twice at me before running off to enjoy all the fun that the freedom from the big city has to offer.

See what I mean.

This outfit is freakin' adorable....why are you crying?!

So we hopped the fence and headed straight into the land of a million childhood memories. The place where we were pirates, floated down the Nile, and were ecoavengers saving hundreds of endangered frogs on a daily basis. All I wanted was one good picture.

and this is the best I could get. At least this was just the first try. We have lots more visits to Gramma's house.

Well we couldn't spend all our time trying to take pictures when there was yard work to do and when the only yard you have is covered in concrete, yard work is a treat. So scarves were donned and we headed out...

Yard work is hot work, who doesn't love a little playing in the hose?

Violet.

One last try the night before we leave...at least we're not looking at her molars.

Finally a smile!!

and, despite the snot, this is probably my favorite.

Max Garrison

Aww, nothing beats a trip back home to the country, especially when there are amazing photo locations! Last week, I got to hang out with a long time friend and her adorable little farmer, Max. Oh my gosh, what a cutie-pie! Once we got started, naptime came way too soon. I could have taken pictures of him forever! His grandpa's house beheld a plethora of ideal picture places! Even with a bump on his head and quizzical brow, he is adorable! Thanks mom for all your help and company! I can't wait until the next visit!

Yeah, I'm in a tub in a field, so what? It's cool.

You're gonna be doing, uh, what here?
(This gorgeous barn is in their backyard! Lucky! I wanted to steal pieces of it!)

LOVE!!!

Hey ladies...

Must have one more in the tub!

Well maybe just one more...that's it, I promise!

Listen, could you speed this up, I got some work to do around here.

Just a little bit further....

He really is laughing...the ponies loved him and he loved them right back!

This way, Max, please look this way...*insert* animal noises, high-pitched squeals, raspberries, singing, and any other silly sound you can think of...please just smile.

Well, that's kinda close...how adorable are those little finger dimples!

Silly lady, if you wanted smiles, all you had to do was get my daddy!

And the sun sets on another gorgeous day. Thanks friends for hanging out with us.

Yippee

I am SOOO proud that I have conquered the land of blogger codes!!! I am so proud of my new blog layout and that it will match our (soon to be activated) etsy site! I am so proud that I did it all by myself! This may look simple, but it took all day for my non-tech brain to master and I am so, so, so, so proud! I know, child's play for most of you...and I am so jealous of you! But I did it! Yay!
I wish I had some pictures of me sitting on the couch all day with the laptop on the coffee table pulled as close as I could get it, while I explore various blogger tutorials and clipart websites, crossing my fingers it will work this time and screaming when it didn't, but I don't, and who wants to look at those anyway. So here are some pictures of products soon to be available on etsy!

The Little White Clip

Sweetie-Pie Clip

Purple Swirl Clip

Hooray to learning new things....boy was today filled with that.
BTW, Learning Curve, I really, really dislike you!
