The J Crew

Okay, so spreading your photography wings is a bit scary, but a family like this one helps make it a little more fun. A family shoot, really, can I do that? Well last weekend we gave it a try. The oldest girlie was one of my favorite little first graders three years ago. We always had a blast when mom volunteered, so when she asked if I would like to have a little photo shoot, how could I say no?? I cannot believe how big the kiddos have gotten. I remember when younger brother and sister would to show up with mom to drop off big sister, and they would be cuddled in the jogging stroller in their jammies ...there's no way they're fitting in the stroller now! It was so much fun spending the afternoon reconnecting. I hope they love their pictures as much as I loved hanging out with them. Oh, and kids, can you please stop growing?

Oh my....we started with some serious cuteness and sass!

Where is the little boy in jammies running around my classroom making the kids crack up...he's so grown-up and handsome already!

4th grade?? Really?! (I LOVE sissy in the background!)

Serious fun!

What beautiful girlies!

Love this crew!

Of course the paparazzi had to follow us everywhere! The helicopter for what seemed like forever!

love.

The kiddos got some well deserved ocean time, but it turned out to be pretty chilly. Dad is always a good place to warm up.

Or your fur jacket. I am so in love with her.

Thanks J family! Can't wait for next year!

Can he be 9 already??!

One of my first memories of Robert is watching the little 5 year old roll under the pew at his parents' wedding, wrestling with the little tuxedo, slowing stripping it off item by item. I tried my best to catch the eye of the adorable little guy, and finally won a tiny, little smile. Heart melt. Now, four years later, he is a handsome boy who still has that heart-warming smile and shy spirit, until you get to know him...

See, heart-melting.

And handsome. I always tell the truth.

But, still a little shy.

Oh, but along with being 9 comes the 4th grade attitude.

And the fact that he looks more and more like his dad every day.

But he'll always be that little boy in the church to me.

Enjoy your last year of being single digits you adorable Lego-lovin', video-game playin' sweet kid.

Harper's 1st birthday

I can't believe little Harper is a year old already! Baby and mom came over on Friday to get some shots of the momentous occasion. I love these girls. They are so fun and we always have tons of laughs. Poor mom got a workout moving the quick little crawler back into position over and over. I guess it is not fair to Harper that we made her sit in the one little section of the room that was not completely filled with toys! Thank heavens for things to climb on! What a little daredevil this girl is!
Happy birthday little one!

Oh how I love these eyes!

Please stay still for one second...

She no longer just sits calmly in the basket...how time flies!

See, I'm a big girl now!

Who wants cake?

Yum!!!

Cake is always better on your toes!

Someone did not like being messy~

Happy Birthday beautiful baby!

Long time, no see!

Geesh! Wow did crafting take me a long way from blogging, but the camera is back out and snapping away. It's snapping pictures of crafts, but that's okay! This morning I was taking some pictures of things left over from the boutique and saw the neighbors outside. My little neighbor girl is so adorable that I ran outside, bare feet and all, yanked off her hat, threw a headband on her, and clicked away! Look how amazingly gorgeous this little 2 year old is! I am in awe!

I love that she has dirt on her cheek and that mom spit cleaned it off!

These eyes! Wow! I'm so sad I cropped her face, but there is something I love about this picture!

I know, weird tilt...I'm trying to avoid getting my front door in the photo!

I hope she doesn't start running away when she sees me coming with the camera!

Baby Jax

So last spring Violet started music class. She absolutely love the music, and I loved meeting new mommies...especially when they have adorable kids. We became friends with Willa and her mommy, and watched mommy's belly steadily grow until we said goodbye in May. Then, YAY, the email finally popped up in the inbox a few weeks ago saying that baby Jackson had finally arrived! With a mom having a 6 year old and 2 year old at home already, we really had to work to find a time to get together, but finally made it work last Friday! What a little snuggle bug that baby is...and boy does he love to be snuggled. He clearly was happiest in someone's arms, and I was happy to help out with that request. I may have caught a little baby fever. Luckily we were able to get him to sleep a bit on the soft blankies. I was happy brother and sister were there for me to snap some shots of whenever littlest brother decided he needed mommy for a minute. And thankfully daddy came along to bring on the smiles!

Baby Jax, just chillin' and checking things out. Hi cutie!

Aww...baby-snugglebug.

Hooray! I finally get to use one of the adorable hats my cousin made for me!

How lucky is baby Jax to have this guy for a big brother?!

Not only is he super handsome,

he's hilarious too!

Story behind the photo:
the girls were trying on all the headbands and hairbows I had brought along for them to model. Big brother decided he wanted in on the action too, but he was going to make it "manly", karate style. Sorry, buddy, it still looks stinkin' cute.

Speaking of stinkin' cute, how about miss Willa here??! Adorable, and what a good sister! I love how she holds the baby doll correctly!

With those eyes and that hair...good thing she has two brothers because Dad will have his work cut out for him in about 15 years!

As for dad, thank you for these smiles, don't worry Jax, you'll be laughing right along with them someday. You don't know how lucky you are to have such an awesome family little guy!

PS, thank you Winnie for letting us invade your house for a while!

Hunter

How fun are impromptu sessions! A friend is visiting from out of town with her adorable little one. On a whim we got together yesterday to snap some pics before they headed out to their next visit. This little guy is only a few weeks older than Violet, but what a world of difference between boys and girls! I got a workout trying to keep up with him! No wonder his mama looks so fabulous! Even though it was his naptime, he was happy as a clam roaming around the park with reckless abandon!

To slide or not to slide....SLIDE!!

OMG, this adorable squishy face is so cute!

And these eyelashes...ADORABLE!

Let's try the tire swing...it will keep him contained.

Um, excuse me people, you may not have noticed, but I really hate this!!!

Sand play is much more fun.

Maybe we should stick to leaf collecting.

And off he goes...

hmmm...I wonder if I could be all the way across this field before they could catch me?

See Hunter, hanging with mom and dad is not so bad.
